FTTP (fibre to the premises) is a non dedicated , asymetric service meaning, that the connection is not dedicated to the end user and that the downlaod speeds will typically be faster than the upload. Leased lines are a dedicated, symmetrical service. This means that only the end user is using the connection and that download and upload speed are roughly the same. Requested speeds on leased lines more likely to be provided as opposed to an up to speed, which ever speed is ordered, this will be the speed received at the router.
