The avaerage installation time for our business fibre FTTP broadband is 30 - 40 days from placing your order. There is currently no options to expedite FTTP orders.
FTTP stands for fibre to the premises, where as FTTC stands for fibre to the cabinet. The difference between the 2 is how the connection reaches the end users premises. FTTC connections run fibre optic cabling to a DSLAM located near the Copper cabineted (PCP) the remaing part of the connection travels down a copper cable to the end users premises. This is why FTTC connections still require a phone line. FTTP service are sent via fibre optic cabling from the exchange to th the end users premises. The connection is fibre cabling from start to finish. FTTP connections are more stable are are no prone to electrical interferance & water damage.
